The New Democratic Party of Prince Edward Island will hold its Annual Convention on Saturday, April 20th at the Rodd Charlottetown Hotel, 75 Kent Street. Guest Speaker – Megan Leslie, MP for Halifax, Official Opposition Critic for the Environment, Deputy Leader of the NDP. Registration will open at 8 am, with the Call to Order at 9:00. Registration fees are 20.00 (regular) and 10.00 (reduced). Throughout the day there will be discussions of policy, elections for the provincial executive, and workshops. New members are welcome. Tom Mulcair, leader of Canada’s Official Opposition will be guest of honour on August 8th, 2013 at Lobster on the Wharf, Charlottetown.
The evening will provide an opportunity for Islanders to hear Tom speaking, as well as the opportunity to chat over hors d’oeuvres with the leader of the Federal NDP.

It is time for the Egmont New Democrats to get together for our Annual General Meeting. We need to work for the future of Egmont Riding. The meeting will be held on March 29th, 2014, 2:00 PM, at the O’Leary Community Complex at 18 Community Street.
Please note that a registration desk will be set up. Registration will be from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM.You must be signed up as a member to be eligible to vote. You can become a member by signing up on line, we will have a computer at the registration desk, or pay by cash or cheque. A membership costs $20.00. If someone joins on arrival, there will be a motion made to waive the 30 day requirement, so all persons who have filled out a membership will have a voice and a vote.
An agenda will be provided at the registration desk. Everyone is welcome, so if you know of someone that would like to attend, feel free to invite them.
Nominations for Table Officers on the Executive will be accepted from the floor, but it would be appreciated if they could be made 1 week in advance, by contacting me.
If there are resolutions that anyone would like to move at the meeting, they should be in no later than two weeks prior to the meeting. Emergency resolutions that arise out of business at the meeting will also be entertained.
